Opposing spirals in the limbs and core allow the muscles to align and stabilize the joints to prevent injury. Working deep synergistic muscles will help to release superficial tension that impedes freedom of motion and creative expression. Natural opposition in the torso, for example, allows the shoulder girdle and neck to release, and the arms to flow through dance movements without creating stiff necks. The arms themselves will have opposing spirals to create strong and graceful movement while protecting the shoulders, elbows & wrists. This same model applies to the pelvis & legs as well.
